Filming in Mauritius
Mauritius delivered everything the story needed: luxury resorts, turquoise lagoons, city streets, and tropical interiors, all within short unit moves. For producers, the island also offers a financial edge via the Mauritius Film Rebate Scheme, making high-production-value shoots both achievable and efficient.
Identical Media’ Role
Identical Media acted as co- and service producer in Mauritius, providing end-to-end support:
- Location scouting & permitting across the island
- Local crew hiring and integration with the Spanish production team
- Equipment rental via Mediavision (camera, lenses, grip & lighting)
- Logistics: vehicles, accommodation blocks, catering, marine coordination
- Budget structuring, QPE tracking, and guidance on the Mauritius Film Rebate Scheme
Behind the Scenes
From sunrise beach set-ups to night shoots in town, the production leaned on Mauritius’ compact geography and reliable crew base. It’s a strong example of how international comedies can capture big-screen scale on the island while maintaining tight schedules.
