Procter & Gamble, TwinFilm, Germany, “Herbal Essences – Camomile Shampoo EU” – TVC – “2024”

In October 2024, Identical Pictures had the opportunity to work as a Service Film Production provider with TwinFilm GmbH, a TVC film production company based in Germany, for the Herbal Essences – Camomile Shampoo television commercial (TVC).

This TVC was directed by renowned beauty-commercial director Ivo Weijgaard. A Swiss director and photographer, Weijgaard is celebrated for his elegant, emotion-driven advertisements in the beauty and fashion sectors. He has collaborated with brands such as Lancôme, L’Oréal, Huawei, and Reebok, and has directed global campaigns featuring stars like Julianne Moore, Deepika Padukone, and Heidi Klum. Weijgaard divides his time between Zurich and Bangkok.

Pascal Walder is a celebrated Swiss cinematographer recognised for his contributions to both commercials and feature films. Since the mid-1990s, he has worked alongside global icons such as Orlando Bloom, Julianne Moore, and Deepika Padukone. His impressive portfolio features campaigns for L’Oréal, Huawei, and Swisscom, in addition to films like Early Birds and Sennentuntschi.

Founded in 1997, Twinfilm Gmbh is a Munich-based production company that specialises in creating award-winning commercial films and photo content. With offices in Munich, Madrid, Cape Town, Warsaw, and Bucharest, the company partners with prominent global brands and agencies to provide high-quality visual storytelling.

Procter & Gamble (P&G), a worldwide consumer goods corporation, owns the Herbal Essences brand. For its Chamomile Shine Shampoo, Herbal Essences employs a diverse marketing strategy that encompasses television ads and online campaigns.

The shoot took place over three days in stunning locations in Mauritius. We filmed at La Réserve Golf Links in the south, the Château de la Bourdonais in the north, and at a film studio for the shower and product shots.
