Over eight exciting weeks, judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace are once again primed to discover the UK’s best amateur cook.

The finalists’ first daunting culinary challenge is on the island of Mauritius – a gastronomic melting pot that fuses the cuisines of Africa, Europe, China and India to create a style of cooking that is truly unique.

The finalists have to keep their culinary wits together as they are challenged to recreate both high-end Mauritian fine-dining dishes and traditional street food tutored by the islands leading chefs. Cooking with ingredients and techniques they have never seen takes them totally out of their comfort zone.

The new Series will premier on BBC One, at 21.00 p.m, on the 15th April 2020

Serenity is a 2019 American fantasy mystery thriller film written, produced and directed by Steven Knight. The film stars Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Diane Lane, Jason Clarke, Djimon Hounsou, and Jeremy Strong, and follows a fishing boat captain who is approached by his ex-wife to murder her abusive new husband. First announced in January 2017, principal photography on the film began on Mauritius that July.

Serenity was released in the United States on January 25, 2019, by Aviron Pictures to mostly negative reviews from critics.

The Plot

Baker Dill is a fishing boat captain living a quiet and sheltered life. He spends his days leading tours off a tranquil, tropical enclave called Plymouth Island and is obsessed with catching an evasive giant yellowfin tuna whom he calls “Justice”.

One day, Dill’s ex-wife Karen tracks him down and begs him to save her and their young son Patrick from her new, violent husband, Frank, offering Dill $10 million to drop him into the ocean for the sharks to eat. She tells Dill that Frank will be arriving later in the week and that they have booked Dill for a fishing trip, the perfect opportunity for Dill to kill Frank.

Torn between what is right and wrong, Dill is thrust back into a life he had tried to forget, as his world is plunged into a new reality that may not be all that it seems.

It soon becomes apparent that Dill is a character in a computer game Patrick created, based on his father, John Mason, a U.S. Marine Corps Captain who was killed in Iraq in 2006. Patrick had based the character on a memory of his father taking him fishing when he was three years old. When Karen, a widow, remarried, Patrick introduced his mother and abusive step-father as new characters in the game, and changed Dill’s task from catching tuna to murdering his step-father.

Dill soon begins to realize that he and the other inhabitants of Plymouth Island are merely artificial intelligence characters created by his son. Nevertheless, he decides to go along with the objective of killing Frank.

As Dill carries out the objective, Patrick summons up the courage to confront Frank in real life and stabs him in the chest with a knife that used to belong to his father. Frank dies and Patrick is charged with murder, but he is released into his mother’s custody while awaiting trial. He designs a new computer game in which he and his father are reunited.

LUX* approached us because they were experiencing a disconnect between their brand experience and their video storytelling. The content did not reflect the playful and luxurious hotel experience. It lacked a playful, curious spirit. They needed to elevate the viewing experience to drive bookings and bring awareness as the brand expands to new destinations around the world.

Through a content strategy phase we helped restructure their content ecosystem for smarter segmentation and a more creative expression of offerings. We looked at the different brand programs and pillars to identify distinct story points and opportunities.

We created a range of new story formats and a mix of modular templates and originals to deliver a cohesive experience as the brand expands to new destinations.

We then programmed a dynamic flow of stories that include brand programs and promotions, property and destination features, experience-based highlights and personal guest perspectives.

For more than 50 years TeNeues, a German publishing house, has produced finely illustrated calendars. Over time they have diversified their publications to include a series of high-end guide books, including ‘Cool Escapes’ and ‘Cool Cities’. TeNeues is now a leading international book publisher.

Identical Pictures Ltd, a film production company based in Mauritius and managed by Andreas Habermeyer, has decided to collaborate with TeNeues to publish the first ‘Cool Escapes Mauritius’ guide book.

This first edition, which will also be available as a mobile application, will contain more than 200 pages of useful information and beautiful pictures that capture the best attractions on the island of Mauritius.

Like all previous ‘Cool Escapes’ publications, the book will be divided into 5 distinct chapters:

  3. Nightlife
  4. Shopping like a local
  5. Culture and nature

The reader will discover a large variety of places and activities such as hotels, private rentals, restaurants, bars, shops, activities and sightseeing.

Their idea was to build a place where people could experience authentic Italian cuisine with the best and freshest products of the island.

In a couple of years their idea has become one of the most popular Italian restaurants in Mauritius, thanks to their attention to quality and a friendly atmosphere that is guaranteed by Antonio and Giulia. The staff are always available to present the menu of the day, and to give suggestions to help customers make the best choice.

This is more than your classic Italian restaurant abroad. The menu changes according to the seasonal availability of ingredients, and provides a variety of Italian cuisines. “1974’ also features original creations by chef Antonio Mazzella of Capri, who comes from a family of 3 generations of professional chefs with renowned restaurants around the world.

The production of ‘Cool Escapes Mauritius’ started 4 months ago. Andreas Habermeyer, who is leading the Identical Pictures Ltd production team, has carefully selected and curated content with a professional team of photographers, copywriters and designers.
